Don’t forget to send in those postcards!
There’s always a lot of activities in the merry, merry month of May. Between proms, the Kentucky Derby, graduations, First Communions, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day, it seems the month is filled with a flurry of fun, family activities.
But as we get nearer to May, we at Barr’s Postcard News & Ephemera are also looking forward to celebrating National Postcard Week.
Both of our May issues (May 6, 2019 and May 20, 2019) will be dedicated to the annual celebration of National Postcard Week.
According to Bonnie Loy, associate publisher of Barr’s, last year’s participation was outstanding and featured an approximate total of more than 50 postcards sent in from 20 different states throughout the U.S.
“That’s an impressive number of postcards,” Bonnie said. “And we’re expecting at least that many –and perhaps even more for this year.”
So let this serve as a reminder for all of you postcard collectors out there. Please be sure to get your postcards to us at Barr’s in plenty of time to take part in this yearly trade/sale of your postcards. And don’t forget to check out each May issue of Barr’s to find that special postcard you may have been looking for.
Here’s where to send the postcards: Barr’s Postcard News & Ephemera, P.O. Box 720, 108 E. 5th Street, Vinton, Iowa 52349-0720. And it is a good idea to write “National Postcard Week” on the outside of the envelope –just to be sure. Any questions?
